
A member of the Flippin High School pitching staff had a big day on Tuesday. Brycen Benedict threw a no-hitter, as the Bobcats defeated Cotter 17-0.
Benedict went the distance and recorded 10 strikeouts. Dale Smyser led Flippin’s offense by going three-for-three with three doubles.
Norfork had a rough day on its home field. The Panthers fell to Greers Ferry West Side by a final of 12-0.
Gainesville picked up a dominating win on the road. The Bulldogs were able to shut out Mountain Grove 10-0.
Viola had a successful day on the road. The Longhorns grabbed a 16-3 victory at Bergman.
Mammoth Spring had a conference win in front of the home crowd blanking Hillcrest 15-0. The Bears improve to 4-3 on the season and 2-1 in the 1A-3.
Mountain View lost a high-scoring game at home. The Yellowjackets fell to Green Forest 23-12.
Flippin also had a win on the softball field with a 19-0 decision over Jasper. The Lady Bobcats were led by Keirstan Moore with a home run, a double and five RBIs, and Allie Downs provided two hits, scored twice and drove in two additional runs.
Yellville-Summit had a rough outing across the county line. The Lady Panthers lost to Harrison 10-0.
Viola was able to pull off a squeaker on the road. The Lady Longhorns edged out Shirley by a score fo 17-16.
Calico Rock had a tough day at home stepping outside of conference play. The Lady Pirates fell to Mountain View 17-7.
Mammoth Spring picked up an easy win at home pounding Sloan-Hendrix 12-2. The Lady Bears are 5-3 on the year.
