Baseball and softball make up much of the local Thursday schedule.
The Mountain Home High School softball team will step outside of conference play as they welcome Southside Batesville to McClain Park. The varsity game begins at 4 p.m. on Freedom Field followed by the junior varsity and junior high contests.
Elsewhere, Cotter hosts Yellville-Summit, Norfork travels to Calico Rock, Flippin entertains Decatur, Dora is home against Summersville, Viola makes the trip to Concord, Salem heads to Newark to meet Cedar Ridge, Izard County travels to Greers Ferry to face West Side, Mammoth Spring hosts Armorel, and Mountain View entertains Pangburn.
In high school baseball, Cotter is home against Lead Hill, Norfork makes the trip to Calico Rock, Dora hosts Plato, Viola heads to Concord, and Salem travels to Newark to take on Cedar Ridge.
