The Spring River Dispensary, located at 1418 U.S. Highway 63 in Fulton County near Hardy, sustained major damage late last month when a truck backed into the building.

KAIT reports according to Hardy police, around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, a semi-truck driven by 38-year-old Kevin Derrel Scroggins of Lepanto backed into the medical marijuana dispensary.

Assistant Police Chief Scott Rose says the truck and trailer suffered minor damage, and the driver was allowed to drive away.

However, on Monday, a dispensary representative contacted Rose and said a contractor had “assessed the damage and determined that there was major damage not only to the outside but also to the inside of the building.”

Renee Clay-Circle, one of the owners of the building, estimates the total damages equate to around $40,000.

Despite the damages, the dispensary is still open and operating normally. Spring River Dispensary opened in January.
