
The Mountain Home High School track teams took part in the Zizzer Relays Thursday at West Plains.
The Lady Bombers finished second in the girls’ team standings with the host Lady Zizzers winning the meet. Individually for Mountain Home, Kylee Sabella broke her own record by more than 14 inches as she won the triple jump at 35′ 2 3/4″. In addition, Marcie Cudworth won the 3200-meter run, Kinsey Taylor won the pole vault, Emma Wilber finished second in the high jump, Kamryn Mullin ended up second in the 400-meter dash, Cayden Jones was second in the discus and fourth in the shot put, Gaby Gross took third place in the pole vault, Laurel Chafin finished third in the triple jump and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, Riley Schmitz ended up fifth in the long jump. The team of Cudworth, Rylee Patterson, Emily Payne and Jordan Ritenburg broke the 2001 school record in the 4×800-meter relay as they were second in 9:56.56. Cate Jackson, Mullin, Emma Martin and Sarah Vacco took second place in the 4×400-meter relay; Kendall Carter, Schmitz, Sabella and Mullin finished fourth in the 4×200-meter relay; and Carter, Chafin, Jackson and Schmitz ended up fourth in the 4×100-meter relay.
The Bombers were fourth on the boys’ side as West Plains won the meet, and Waynesville took second place. Parker Wise broke his own Mountain Home school record as he won the javelin with a throw of 150′ 2 3/4″. Also, Michael Davis won the pole vault, Brody Patterson won the 110-meter hurdles, Brayden Daniel finished second in the pole vault, Anderson Hodges ended up second in the 400-meter dash, Andrew Westphal was second in the 800-meter run with Whit Lawrence taking third place, Dalton Schaufler finished third in the triple jump, Josh Boelkens ended up fourth in the pole vault, Brady Barnett was fourth in the long jump, Tyler Firment took fourth place in the 1600-meter run, Ky Bickford finished fourth in the 400-meter dash, Tate Penka ended up fifth in the shot put, Adrian Bzdel was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles, and Dylan McBride took fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles. The team of Bickford, Schaufler, Patterson and Bryson Hodges won the 4×400-meter relay; Mason Camp, Cody Elumbaugh, Sam Morton and Wise finished third in the 4×100-meter relay; and Ty Lawrence, Tate McReynolds, Trey Czeschin and Tucker Davidson ended up third in the distance medley.
Mountain Home will host the Bomber Relays on Monday.
