An extra-inning walkoff home run clinched a state tournament berth for the Gainesville High School baseball team Friday night at Seymour. Wyatt Alms’ blast in the 12th inning pushed the top-seeded Bulldogs past the host Tigers in the championship game of the Class 2, District 6 Tournament. Gainesville moves on to the Class 2 State Tournament, and their sectional round opponent will be Richland on Monday.
