
The Harrison High School girls’ soccer team will be looking for its eighth state championship trophy on Friday. The Lady Goblins will meet Pulaski Academy for the Class 4A title in Benton.
Harrison has had a history with the Lady Bruins in the state tournament over the most recent years. The Lady Goblins beat P.A. for the title in 2019 and in 2016. The Lady Bruins beat Harrison in the semifinals in 2018.
The Lady Goblins came into the tournament as the champions of the 4A-West. Harrison hosted the first three rounds of the tournament and defeated Hope, Brookland and De Queen to improve to 18-2 on the season.
P.A. is the champion of the 4A-East. The Lady Bruins are 12-0-2 after shutting out Jonesboro Westside, Shiloh Christian and Valley View.
Action kicks off at 2 p.m. at the Benton Athletic Complex.
