Cotter School Board handles personnel, other item agenda at May meeting

The Cotter School Board met Thursday night, working through an agenda that contained a dozen personnel items.

Superintendent Vanessa Thomas-Jones has this report on some of the personnel actions taken Thursday night.

Also at Thursday night’s meeting, policy revisions from Section 3 and Section 5 of district’s personnel policy were presented and approved, a quote from Savvas Learning Company in the amount of $71,010 was accepted by the board, and bids for the sale of a retired school bus were opened, with the board agreeing to sell the 1998 Thomas bus for $1,510.

Board members also approved revisions to the 2021-2022 certified and classified salary schedules, and the district’s Special Education Budget and Assurances was approved by the board.

Thomas-Jones reccomended that the professional development year be established as running from June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022, for the 2021-2022 school year.
