
The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team was able to pick up back-to-back shutout victories Friday in the Glen Winget Memorial Tournament at Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
The Lockeroom began the afternoon by invoking the mercy rule in the third inning and pounding the host Braves 13-0. Tucker Koester picked up the victory as he pitched all three innings and struck out six batters. Dawson Tabor led Mountain Home’s offense with three hits and four RBIs, Logan Walker provided two hits and drove in three runs, and Keegan Rickman added two RBIs.
The Lockeroom’s next game was also called after the third inning as they routed Nowata, Oklahoma, by a final of 14-0. Carter Graves pitched two innings and recorded two strikeouts, and Gage Harris was on the mound for one inning with a strikeout. Walker had two base hits for Mountain Home, Harris added a hit and drove in three runs, Graves also ended up with three RBIs, and Reed Ellison drove in two runs.
The Lockeroom improves to 3-1 on the season.
