After a day off Monday, the St. Louis Cardinals return to action Tuesday evening with the start of a two-game series in Detroit. The Cardinals are in third place and 3 1/2 games behind the Chicago Cubs in the National League Central. The Tigers are if fifth place in the American League Central, trailing the Chicago White Sox by 13 games.
Johan Oviedo (0-2) gets the start for the Cardinals while Tarik Skubal (4-7) goes for the Tigers.
