Several student athletes at Mountain Home High School Career Academies have been spending the summer preparing for the next season of competition. For the Lady Bombers’ basketball team, it has been a busy offseason, and that is expected to continue following the lifting of the Arkansas Activities Association’s mandatory dead period earlier this week.
Mountain Home head coach Dell Leonard says the team has been to a pair of team camps, and there is another on the way.

The Lady Bombers have been able to better prepare for the season than they were a year ago due health concerns. Leonard says last year was tough mainly because it was a roster of predominately sophomores.

In addition to the time in the weight room and the team and player development drills on the court, Leonard says some of his team members are playing other games this summer.

The Lady Bombers will take part in the team camp at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock August 28 and 29.
