A Searcy County man was killed Thursday night in a one-vehicle accident. Twenty-nine-year-old Carl Parton of Harriet was pronounced dead at the scene west of Harriet.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Parton was traveling on Arkansas Highway 14 when his pickup truck left the right side of the roadway. The truck overturned and struck a tree, and Parton was reportedly ejected.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m.
