An outage to 911 service that caused disruption through most of central Arkansas this morning, did not affect any systems in Baxter County.

The Baxter County Office of Emergency Management says the local system functioned normally throughout the morning, with the agency conducting several tests to verify operations.

If the outage had affected Baxter County, the local 911 service is partnered with Independence, Fulton and other counties, and those systems would have functioned as a backup.

Most of the outage reportedly occurred Pulaski, Saline, Garland and Faulkner counties and had been restored to most areas by noon.
