The Mountain Home High School golf teams took part in the Hurricane Classic Saturday at the Jonesboro Country Club. The Bombers and Lady Bombers both came away with third place finishes.
Mountain Home’s team score on the girls’ side was 295. Jonesboro won the event with a total of 273, and Valley View was second at 286.
Jonesboro’s Caroline Hughes was the medalist with a 72. Reagan Webb led the Lady Bombers by finishing third with an 89, Ella Brashears was sixth with a 95, Mary Beth Rogero ended up tied for 15th with a 111, and Faith Hilvert was part of a three-way tie for 17th with a 115.
Mountain Home’s boys had a total of 342. Valley View won the title at 317, and Jonesboro took second place at 335.
The medalist honor went to Peyton Ellis of Valley View with a 72. For the Bombers, Will Beckham was fourth with a 79, Ripken Finley finished fifth with an 80, Gaige Chaney ended up 11th with an 88, Chase Berwald took 17th place with a 95, and Duncan Conly was tied for 18th with a 96.
