The St. Louis Cardinals begin a weekend series in Milwaukee Friday night against the National League Central leading Brewers. St. Louis trails the Brewers by 12 1/2 games in the division, but the Cardinals are just 2 1/2 games behind Cincinnati for the second wildcard spot in the N.L.
Adam Wainwright (13-7) starts for the Cardinals while Freddy Peralta (9-3) is on the hill for the Brewers.
