Two injured in two-car collision in Ozark County

Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-car crash on U.S. Highway 160, three miles west of Theodosia.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a pickup driven by 62-year-old Ruth D. Geiger of Theodosia attempted a left turn into the path of a truck driven by 18-year-old Josiah M. Newsome of Lead Hill at approximately 1:43 p.m.

Geiger and a passenger in her vehicle, 66-year-old Venlissa F. Snell of Opal, Wyoming, suffered minor injuries and were transported via ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Both vehicles were described as a total loss and all parties were wearing safety devices.
