MHCA has good showing while hosting cross country meet

Mountain Home Christian Academy hosted a cross country meet Saturday on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home. A total of 122 athletes represented the Eagles, the Northwest Arkansas Hornets, the Springfield Homeschool Knights and the Lighthouse Christian Chargers.

Evan Palella led Mountain Home Christian in the junior boys’ race by winning in 10:23.08. His teammate, Eyzaiah Williams, finished third in 11:35.87.

Nathan Mooney picked up another win for the Eagles in the 12-and-under boys’ race with a time of 11:32.74. Rhys Hammonds cross the line at 12:01.89 for third place.

Mountain Home Christian got a runner-up finish from Evie Howell in the 12-and-under girls’ race at 12:45.48. On the high school level, Erika Krueger was third in the girls’ race at 22:59.78, and Jordan Jacobs ended up third on the boys’ side at 20:52.25.
