A circuit of Major League Fishing is bringing several boaters and co-anglers to Norfork Lake to compete for a prize of $60,000. The Phoenix Bass Fishing League Regional Championship, presented by T-H Marine and hosted by the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for Thursday through Saturday at Buzzard Roost Boat Dock.

The tournament will feature the top 45 boaters and co-anglers and tournament winners in each of the Phoenix Bass Fishing League’s four divisions (Arkie, Illini, LBL and Ozark). Competitors will battle for the $60,000 prize, including a Phoenix 819 Pro bass boat with a 200-horsepower Mercury outboard, $10,000 and lucrative contingency awards, including the Phoenix Major League Fishing BIG5 Bonus of up $7,000. Strike King co-anglers will compete for a top prize of $50,000, including a Phoenix 819 Pro bass boat with a 200-horsepower Mercury outboard. Winners will be determined by the heaviest three-day catch.

The top six finishers in each regional will qualify for one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing – the Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American scheduled for June 2-4 at Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, hosted by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism and Visit Hot Springs.

Anglers will take off each day at 7 a.m., and weigh-ins begin at 3 p.m. Fans are welcome to attend the event or follow the action online through the “MLF Live” weigh-in broadcasts at MajorLeagueFishing.com.
