Lady Bombers’ volleyball returns home, gets back in win column

The Mountain Home High School volleyball team returned home Thursday night and got back in the win column with a 3-2 decision over Van Buren. The Lady Bombers won by scores of 19-25, 25-13, 25-22, 21-25 and 15-6 to up their record to 12-5 overall and 6-4 in the 5A West.

Carson Schmitz finished the night with 15 kills; Kendall Carter had seven kills, three blocks and 21 digs; Georgia Burnham had six kills; Tatum Smith had six kills, five blocks and three aces; Lindsay Jenson collected 34 assists, 16 digs and three aces; Riley Schmitz finished with 21 digs; Cate Jackson had 12 digs; and Katelyn Hill finished with 11 digs and five kills.

In the junior varsity match, Mountain Home topped Van Buren by scores of 25-5, 19-25 and 15-6.

Lauren Wehmeyer finished with six kills and four blocks; Emma Wilber had five kills and two blocks; Andrea Payne had five kills; Emma Crabb collected 12 digs, 19 assists and four aces; and Lily Hinson had 11 digs.
