Friday football schedule includes MHHS hosting Siloam Springs for homecoming

Friday’s high school football schedule includes homecoming night for Mountain Home. The Bombers will wrap up their current two-game home stand by welcoming Siloam Springs to the Twin Lakes Area.

Mountain Home is 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in the 6A-West. The Bombers are coming off a loss to Benton. Siloam Springs is 1-6 and 0-4. The Panthers were routed on their home field last week by Lake Hamilton.

Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary says this game has possible postseason implications for both teams.

The homecoming court presentation at Bomber Stadium begins at 6:30, and kickoff is a half hour later. Friday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com. Radio coverage begins around 5:30 with Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas High School Gameday. Fans can also view the game live on the Bomber Sports Network channel on YouTube.

Elsewhere in the 6A-West, Benton hosts Greenwood, and Van Buren entertains Lake Hamilton.

Yellville-Summit will be on the road for the last time for this regular season. The Panthers will have a long trip to Magazine.

Yellville-Summit is 2-5 on the year and 1-3 in the 2A-4. The Panthers picked up their first conference win last week when they doubled up Conway Christian at homecoming. Magazine is 0-5 and 0-4. The Rattlers were shut out a week ago at Quitman.

Kickoff at Shorty Wright Field at Diamondback Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

Also in the 2A-4, Quitman travels to Bigelow, Hector is home against Johnson County Westside, and Conway Christian hosts Mountainburg.

Elsewhere on the local Arkansas schedule, Salem entertains Mountain View, Melbourne makes the trip to Searcy to meet Harding Academy, and Harrison is home against Morrilton.

There are two games pairing teams in the Arkansas Sports Media Top 10. Top-ranked Bryant heads to No. 4 Cabot, and No. 5 North Little Rock hosts 10th-ranked Fort Smith Northside.

The regular season comes to an end Friday for Marshall’s eight-man team. It will also be homecoming for the Bobcats, as they entertain Little Rock Hall.

This is also the last week of the regular season in Missouri. Among area schools, West Plains travels to Bolivar, Hollister makes the trip to Springfield Catholic, Forsyth also heads to Springfield to take on Central, Branson travels to Republic, Ava makes the trip to Willow Springs, Mountain View-Liberty is home against Houston, and Thayer heads to Mountain Grove.
