Basketball makes up much of the local Saturday schedule, as the Bobby Hulse Memorial Classic comes to an end at Norfork. In the girls’ games, the Junior Varsity Lady Panthers meet Shirley at 1 p.m., Viola faces Ozark Mountain at 3:30, and Mammoth Spring takes on Bergman at 6. On the boys’ side, Ozark Mountain plays Shirley at 2:15, Viola will be paired with Mammoth Spring at 4:45, and Calico Rock meets Bergman at 7:15.
Both of Mammoth Spring’s junior high teams will be at Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden for the start of the Bill McCurley Invitational Tournament. The Junior Lady Bears take on Bay at 9 a.m., and Mammoth Spring’s boys face Izard County at 10:15.
The Jasper Junior High Tournament will get underway with three games on tap. Lead Hill’s girls play Deer at 10 a.m. On the boys’ side, Lead Hill will be matched up with Alpena at 11:15, and the host Junior Pirates meet Mount Judea at 12:30.
In addition, Flippin will host a seventh grade tournament.
