A Flippin woman facing drug-related charges appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.

Rachel Renee Harrelson was arrested in early November last year, along with three members of one family.

The arrests stemmed from a compliance visit to the Gassville residence of 51-year-old Kevin Swadley and his two sons, 29-year-old Kip, and 22-year-old Jacob.

Harrelson, who is referred to as Jacob’s girlfriend in the probable cause affidavit, was reported to have come to the residence with him about two weeks before the compliance visit was conducted.

At the time of the visit, Kip Swadley was on probation after pleading guilty to charges filed against him in an earlier case.

While at the residence, officers found about 20 items used to ingest both methamphetamine and marijuana.

According to the probable cause affidavit, two of the items tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine, the remaining items were suspected of being used to smoke marijuana.

Harrelson pled not guilty to the charges against her in mid-November last year.

She failed to appear for a court session July 12, and a warrant for her arrest was issued.

Harrelson was apprehended and booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on Oct. 16, according to the jail log.

A representative of the company that issued the bond reported apprehending Harrelson at a Hot Springs motel.

In addition to the failure to appear charge, Harrelson faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia used to ingest both methamphetamine and marijuana.

Kip Swadley is an inmate in the Varner Unit of the state prison system.

Jacob Swadley was initially put on 12 months misdemeanor probation in the original case, but got in trouble again in mid-September.

The situation was much the same with his initial arrest. A team went to a residence located along Bayless Court in Gassville to conduct a compliance visit for two people on probation.

Jacob was found to be staying with a female at the residence as well.

Harrelson entered a not guilty plea to the new failure to appear charge and was ordered to reappear in early November.

Jacob is scheduled to reappear on his new charges later this month, as is his father.
