
JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) — Two people were killed in a traffic crash near Joplin after one of the vehicles was driving the wrong way on the interstate, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened Tuesday night on Interstate 44 near Joplin.
Janet Edwards, 58, of Sarcoxie, and Andrew Wilson, 91, of Neosho, died in the crash.
Investigators said Wilson was driving east in the westbound lanes when his vehicle struck Edwards’ car. Both drivers died at the scene.
