The Flippin High School boys’ basketball team had a rough night in front of its home crowd on Thursday. The Bobcats ended up falling to Calico Rock 70-46.
Rural Special’s boys had a short but tough road trip. The Rebels fell to Shirley by a final score of 68-48.
It was mixed results for the Izard County Junior High basketball teams at the Bill McCurley Invitational Tournament at Sloan-Hendrix.
The Junior Lady Cougars topped the host team 51-31. Quinn Johnson erupted for 34 points. The Izard County junior girls will face Buffalo Island Central in the finals Saturday.
The Izard County junior boys lost to Tuckerman 29-28. Kasen Black paced the Junior Cougars with nine points.
