The Izard County junior girls’ basketball team was crowned the champions of the Bill McCurley Invitational Tournament Saturday at Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden. The Junior Lady Cougars took home the trophy after topping Buffalo Island Central 36-27.
Hollie and Quinn Johnson led Izard County with 13 points each, and Makenzie Yancey added 10.
The Junior Lady Cougars remain unbeaten in four games on the season.
