
A local resident was injured Thursday morning after her minivan was hit by a school bus near Gainesville High School. Sixty-one-year-old Theresa Odell of Gainesville was transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center with what were described as minor injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a bus driven by 55-year-old Carla Taylor of Mountain Grove pulled from a parking lot into the path of the minivan driven by Odell on High School Drive, causing the two vehicles to collide. Taylor was not injured, and the report did not indicate any children occupying the bus.
Odell’s minivan sustained moderate damage, and the bus had minor damage in the 7:50 a.m. accident.
