A Baxter County woman crashed into a residence south of Lakeview last Friday, after allegedly getting behind the wheel after she had been drinking. Forty-seven-year-old Jennifer Jackson of Lakeview was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center with what were described as suspected minor injuries.
According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson left her residence on Slater Drive at a high rate of speed. She reportedly exited the left side of the roadway and collided into the side of a residence on Willingham Road.
Jackson reportedly had a strong odor of intoxicants, and she advised authorities she had been drinking. While at the hospital, she submitted to a blood test, and samples were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock. The occupants of the residence were shaken up, but neither one was injured.
Jackson was cited for reckless driving and no seat belt following the 9:08 p.m. accident. Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
