Veterans Day ceremony slated for MH Plaza 2000 on Thursday

The annual Veterans Day ceremony hosted by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council is slated to return to the Mountain Home Plaza 2000, across from the Baxter County Courthouse. The event will begin Thursday morning at 11.

Curtis Grant from the Twin Lakes base of the United States Submarine Veterans, Inc. will serve as the master of ceremonies, while Joanna Baxter will represent the Bob Davis Veterans Center as the keynote speaker.

Raquel Houk will sing the national anthem, and other patriotic music will be provided by the Mountain Home High School band. The Alley-White American Legion Post 52 Honor Guard will present the rifle salute.

Coffee and cupcakes will be served by the Ozark VFW Post 3246 following the ceremony.

For those unable to attend, the ceremony will be broadcast live starting at 11 on KTLO-FM 97.9 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
