
The Mountain Home High School basketball teams had a good warm-up to the upcoming season, as they swept a pair of benefit games Saturday at Batesville.The evening began with the Lady Bombers squeaking by the Lady Pioneers 57-54. Amelia Rucker led Mountain Home with 16 points, Lauren Wehmeyer scored 12, and Annie Norcross added 10. The Lady Bombers will begin their season Tuesday, as they host Bentonville.
Mountain Home’s boys followed with a 47-40 victory over Batesville. The Bombers were led by Luke Proctor with 19 points, and Braiden Dewey chipped in 13. Mountain Home’s season opener is currently scheduled for Friday at home against Har-Ber, but that is expected to be moved due to the Bomber football team’s upcoming game in the state playoffs.
