
The Mountain Home Junior High basketball teams opened play in the Bentonville Tournament Monday night with mixed results.
The Junior Bombers edged past Bentonville West 38-37. Ryder McClain led a balanced scoring attack with 11 points, as the Junior Bombers improve to 2-0. They will face Fayetteville Purple in the second round.
The Junior Lady Bombers fell to Bentonville West 35-29 and are now 0-2 on the season. The game was tied at 22 heading into the fourth quarter. Laykin Moore and Whitten Coleman each had eight points for Mountain Home. Mountain Home is set to face Rogers Heritage Tuesday evening at 5:45.
