Basketball makes up much of the local Friday schedule and includes Mountain Home sending three junior high boys’ teams to Cave City. The seventh grade game tips off at 4 followed by the eighth grade and freshman contests.
Elsewhere on the junior high level, Yellville-Summit hosts Kingston. and Marshall travels to Mountain View.
On the high school level, Bergman will begin hosting the inaugural Holiday Hoopsgiving at the Panther Palace. In girls’ action, Valley Springs and Clarksville tip off at 4, and Bergman takes on Dumas at 6:40. On the boys’ side, Valley Springs plays the New School at 5:20, and Bay will be paired with Dumas at 8.
In other high school basketball, Cotter makes the trip to Green Forest, Norfork entertains Greers Ferry West Side, Viola is home against Concord, Calico Rock heads to Brockwell to face Izard County, Ozark Mountain travels to Omaha, Mammoth Spring hosts Armorel, Timbo entertains Alpena, Lead Hill makes the trip to Deer, and Jasper heads to Mount Judea.
