The game ended with the Bombers falling to the Wildcats 50-38. The margin stayed close throughout much of the contest with seven lead changes and three ties. Har-Ber outscored Mountain Home 10-4 in the second quarter to end the half with a two-point advantage. The Wildcats were up three at the end of the third period, but then, Har-Ber guard Cameron Mains took it to another level. He scored 15 points in the final quarter alone, and the Bombers did not have an answer as they went on to lose by a dozen.

Reed Ellison led Mountain Home with 13 points, and Luke Proctor added 12. Mains finished with 26 points for the Wildcats.

The Bombers start the year with a record of 0-1. Har-Ber improves to 2-0 on the season.

Both of Mountain Home High School’s teams will have their first road test of the campaign on Nov. 30, when they travel to Paragould.
