A registered sex offender has been arrested on multiple felony charges, after law enforcement learned he had moved to a residence near a daycare center in Mountain View despite his request to relocate to the home being denied.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 36-year-old Chad A. Mikiska, who recently relocated from North Little Rock, is charged with felony counts of failure to register as a sex offender, being a registered Level 3 sex offender and knowingly living within 2,000 feet of an active daycare center, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (kratom) with the purpose to deliver, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (fentanyl) and maintaining a drug premises.

Mikiska was reportedly residing with 33-year-old Tiffany E. Flores, who is on parole out of Heber Springs with an active search waiver on file.

According to the sex offender coordinator with the Mountain View Police Department, Mikiska had been at the residence since late October. Earlier in the month, Mikiska contacted the officer about relocating to the residence along Redbud Avenue. He was advised moving to the address was prohibited, since it was within 2,000 feet of the daycare center, and he is a registered sex offender.

A detective with the North Little Rock Police Department had conducted a home visit at Mikiska’s registered address in Pulaksi County and learned the sex offender had relocated to Mountain View.

Law enforcement from three agencies executed a search warrant at the Redbud Avenue address and found Mikiska and Flores asleep in a bedroom. In the room, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located, along with mail addressed to Mikiska at the Mountain View address.

Mikiska’s bond was set at $100,000, while Flores’ is set at $25,000. She is facing four felony-related drug charges.

Agencies involved in the arrest were the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, the Mountain View Police Department and the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
