
A man accused of a vehicle theft in Sharp County is believed to be trying to get to Springfield and may have traveled toward the Twin Lakes Area. Sharp County authorities say the unidentified suspect may be armed with an AK-47.
The vehicle, stolen from the Hardy Civic Center, is a black 2001 Nissan Frontier four-door pickup truck with a fallen firefighter Arkansas license plate numbered FFBGEM. A truck stolen from the Doniphan, Missouri, area was abandoned with disabling damage near the civic center, where the Nissan was stolen. It is suspected to have gone toward Mountain Home, Ash Flat, Batesville, or Thayer.
