The Baxter County Library will host historian Dr. Brook Blevins Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the Knox Community Rooms at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County.
Dr. Blevins will discuss his third and final installment in his series: A History of the Ozarks, Volume 3: The Ozarkers.
The library says this discussion will provide the opportunity to learn about the experiences of the Ozarkers and how they have not diverged from the currents of mainstream life as sharply or consistently, as the mythmakers would have it.Arkansas Historical Quarterly says, “A History of the Ozarks gives these mountains and their many folk the story they deserve, energetically told.”
