
A Mountain Home man was injured late Friday afternoon when his pickup truck swerved to miss a deer. Sixty-year-old Donald Jackson was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center with what were described as suspected serious injuries.
According to the crash report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson was traveling on Arkansas Highway 5 North in rural Baxter County. He swerved to miss a deer and overcorrected. His vehicle traveled off the roadway, went down into an embankment and collided with a tree.
Damage to the truck was estimated at $7,000 following the 4:37 accident.
