Basketball and bowling make up the local Wednesday schedule.
The opening round of the Izard County Invitational Basketball Tournament will come to an end at Izard County High School in Brockwell. A junior high doubleheader between Calico Rock and Highland will start at 4 with the girls’ game, Rural Special’s senior girls meet Cave City at 6:30, and the Izard County senior boys face Highland at 7:45.
In high school bowling, Norfork meets Haas Hall-Springdale at the Springdale Bowling Center.
