A Baxter County man, 78-year-old Larry Schweer of Mountain Home, escaped serious injury Friday afternoon when his motorcycle crossed the centerline of the roadway, overturned and skidded off the pavement.Missouri State Highway Patrol says the one-vehicle accident occurred 7 miles east of Gainesville on Missouri Highway J.
The report notes despite Schweer not wearing a helmet, he reportedly sustained only “minor” injuries. However, he was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center.
Schweer’s motorcycle was totaled in the accident and towed from the scene of the 2:36 p.m. accident.
