One week out from Christmas, there are still a limited number of community events celebrating the holiday season.

NORFORK

On Friday evening at 5, Norfork is set to celebrate the season with a parade. Line up is set for 4 on First Street.

COTTER

The Cotter community kicked off the holiday season earlier this month with the relighting of the R.M. Ruthven Bridge, as part of a month-long holiday celebration.

Christmas in Cotter is set for Saturday evening from 5 until 7 at Big Spring Park. The event will include carolers, Santa Claus, the Polar Express Conductor, bonfires with S’mores, hot chocolate and other treats.

Awards will be presented for best decorated houses and a new event this year, the Big Spring Park Christmas Tree Contest.

The event is free.

ASUMH

The Coulter Celebration of Lights continues through Dec. 27 on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home from 5:30 to 10 each evening.
