A juvenile passenger was seriously injured in an ATV accident Monday evening 2 miles northeast of West Plains on County Road 1280.
Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 33-year-old Bob R. Estes of West Plains was the driver of the vehicle.
Estes’ ATV reportedly struck an object in the roadway before overturning.
A 13-year-old unidentified male juvenile was taken by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for treatment of what were described as “serious” injuries. Estes reportedly received minor injuries.
The ATV was driven from the scene of the 6:10 p.m. accident.
