A Bull Shoals man has been arrested for reportedly threatening his neighbor with an axe.
According to the probable cause affidavit, law enforcement responded to a call Dec. 19 at a residence along Carolyn Drive.
A man at the residence said he was removing Christmas lights from his boat in the yard when his neighbor, identified as 39-year-old Joshua Dustin Monistere, walked onto his property.
The man said when he asked Monistere to leave, he replied, “I am going to kill you Matt.” As he responded, Monistere reportedly held an axe in the air while running toward the neighbor.
The man said he was in fear for his life.
A Bull Shoals police officer reviewed surveillance video that reportedly confirmed the allegations. The video also shows Monistere run across the street. The officer was unsuccessful in locating the suspect.
On-line records indicate Monistere was booked into the Marion County Detention Center Monday afternoon.
He has been charged with felony counts of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening.
His bond is set at $12,500.
