
The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) has lifted a boil water order issued last week by Flippin Waterworks.The ADH website indicates the order was lifted Monday afternoon.
The impacted area was east of Marion County 7029 and on both the left and right sides of U.S. Highway 62.
The order was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of a loss in normal system pressure.
The ADH website indicates a second order in Marion County for Pyatt Waterworks remains in place.
The order was issued last week for all customers of Pyatt Waterworks.
The order was issued as a precautionary measure due to a malfunction with the system’s chlorinator and will remain in effect until further notice.
The website notes an order was put in place Monday for Mountain View Waterworks in Stone County.
The impacted area is for the junction of Titard Loop and Cook Road, to include Love, Henderson, Julie and Adams roads.
All impacted customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
