A pair of teenagers from Flippin were injured when their pickup truck slid on an icy road Sunday afternoon in northeastern Missouri. The two unidentified females, ages 17 and 16, were transported by ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois, with what were described as minor injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 16-year-old was the driver of the truck on U.S. Highway 61 in Taylor, Missouri, and the 17-year-old was her passenger. The truck reportedly lost control on the ice-covered roadway, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a sign and a guardrail and overturned.
The truck had moderate damage in the 12:20 p.m. accident.
