Both Izard County Junior High basketball teams advanced to the championship games of the 1A-2 District Tournament Thursday night at Viola.
The Junior Lady Cougars are now 21-2 after a 40-15 victory over Norfork. Quinn Johnson led the way with 13 points.
The Izard County junior boys defeated Timbo 46-35. Kasen Black led the Junior Cougars with 18 points, Garrett Dillard scored 12, and Xander McCandlis had 10 points.
Both Izard County teams will face Concord in the championship games Saturday night. The girls play at 6 followed by the boys at 7:15.
