Jim Collins is announcing he will be a candidate for the Marion County coroner’s position in the upcoming election cycle.
Collins has served as deputy coroner in Marion County under Dan Duren and as chief deputy coroner under Keith Barnes.
Collins has been a resident of Marion County since May of 2003.
He and his wife, Cindy (Kastning), have five children and nine grandchildren.
Collins says as coroner he will strive to continue the quality service with the same compassion the residents of Marion County have had from the Coroner’s Office for the past four decades.
