The Cotter School Board dealt with a number of items during its regular meeting last week.
Technology Coordinator Shane Lively presented an emergency connectivity funding commitment and a quote from White River Services and Solutions. The board unanimously approved Superintendent Vanessa Thomas-Jones’ recommendation for over $86,000 for the E-rate project. The cost will be offset by the emergency connectivity funding as presented.
The board also approved Thomas-Jones’ recommendation to renew the workers’ compensation insurance with the Arkansas School Board Association’s Workers’ Compensation Trust. The cost is nearly $29,000.
Thomas-Jones also opened bids for the sale of a retired bus. The board accepted her recommendation to accept a bid of $751.
In addition, the board approved the proposed calendar for the 2022-2023 school year and additions to the elementary handbook with guidelines for the before- and after-school care programs.
