The Lady Bombers began the night by defeating the Lady Panthers 50-45. The game stayed fairly close throughout with six lead changes and three ties. Greenbrier was up six at the break. Mountain Home went to the free throw line several times in the second half, as the Lady Panthers were called for nine fouls in the third quarter alone. The Lady Bombers were 22 of 26 at the charity stripe in the second half, and that helped them secure a five-point victory.

Amelia Rucker led Mountain Home with 16 points, and Kamryn Mullin’s 10 points included her going eight-for-eight at the free throw line. Alex Newland scored 14 points for Greenbrier, and Emma Rehm added 10, before she fouled out.

The Lady Bombers improve to 6-20 on the season and 3-10 in the 5A-West. The Lady Panthers fall to 14-11 and 5-8.

Mountain Home was not as fortunate in the boys’ game, as they lost to Greenbrier 60-44. The Bombers jumped out early and ended the opening quarter with a 12-4 lead. The Panthers came back, took a two-point lead into the locker room and never trailed again. Mountain Home tied it up twice in the third period, but they could not get the lead back. Jacob Mathis dominated the final quarter for Greenbrier, as he drove to the basket nearly every time he touched the ball, and he equaled the Bombers’ point total in the period.

Mountain Home was led by Luke Proctor with 14 points, and Reed Ellison chipped in 12. Mathis had 17 points for the Panthers, Aidan Berry finished with 14, and Rece Jones ended up with 12.

The Bombers drop to 3-22 overall and 1-12 in the league. Greenbrier is now 14-12 and 5-8.

Mountain Home will wrap up its season Friday by hosting Alma for Senior Night.
