High school basketball makes up the local Wednesday schedule, as regional tournaments begin in Arkansas.
Three area girls’ teams will play their openers in the Class 1A Region 2 Tournament at Hillcrest Elementary School in Lynn. Norfork and Marked Tree tip off at 4, and Viola faces Mammoth Spring at 7.
Three area teams will be at White County Central High School in Providence to start the Class 2A Central Regional Tournament. Melbourne’s girls take on Conway Christian at 4. On the boys’ side, Melbourne plays Bigelow at 5:30, and Salem will be paired with Maumelle Charter at 8:30.
