
A three-way race for Arkansas House District 3 has developed with the filing Monday of Republican Tom Bryant of Baxter County. Bryant will face fellow Republican Stetson Painter of Mountain Home in the primary. Libertarian Steve Parsons of Lakeview has also filed for the seat.
District 27 is now a four-way race with the filing of Terry Loggins of St. Joe. Loggins will face fellow Republicans Alan Yarbrough and Timmy Reid, both of Marshall, and Steve Walker of Horseshoe Bend.
District 27 covers all of Izard, Newton and Searcy counties, as well as the southern tip of Baxter and northern Stone.
Senate District 28 is now a six-way Republican primary with the filing Monday of former Sen. Bryan King of Green Forest. King will face incumbent Sen. Bob Ballinger of Ozark, Rep. Keith Slape of Compton, Theodore “Ted” Walker of Huntsville, Robert “Bob” Largent of Harrison and Jim Wallace of Eureka Springs.
District 28 covers portions of Boone, Franklin, Johnson and Newton counties, as well as Carroll and Madison.
District 41 is now a three-way race with the filing of Republican Marty Moss of Cleburne County. Filing earlier for the seat were incumbent Republican Josh Miller of Heber Springs and Libertarian Edward M. Flanigan III of Edgemont.
District 41 covers western Stone County and much of Cleburne.
