Mountain Home claims 2 individual championships at state indoor track meet

The Bomber and Lady Bomber track and field teams competed at the State Indoor Championship at the Randal Tyson Track Center at the University of Arkansas Saturday and claimed a pair of individual state championships. Cayden Jones won the girls’ shot put with a throw of 33 feet and 6 inches. Brody Patterson won the boys’ 60 meter hurdles in 8.66 seconds.

Other top finishers on the girls’ side included Jordan Ritenburg who was second in the 3200 meter run and the 4X800 relay team of Ritenburg, Erin Smith, Erika Krueger and Rylee Patterson who finished second.

On the boys’ side, Hendrix Hughes finished second in the 3200 meter run, Dylan McBride was fourth in the high jump, Adrian Bzdel was fourth in the 60 meter hurdles, William Hill finished fifth in the 800 meter run, and the 4X800 relay team of Anderson Hodges, Hughes, Bryson Hodges and Ty Lawrence finished second.

The Bombers return to competition for the first outdoor meet of the season Friday in Van Buren.
