High school basketball makes up the local Sunday schedule, as area teams will compete in the state quarterfinals.
Four area teams will continue action in the Class 1A State Tournament at Morrilton. On the girls’ side, Mammoth Spring and Wonderview tip off at 1, Norfork meets Mount Vernon-Enola at 4, and Western Grove faces Kirby at 7. Calico Rock’s boys take on Wonderview at 5:30.
Two area girls’ teams will compete in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A State Tournament at Junction City. Melbourne plays Rector at 1, and Salem will be paired with Marmaduke at 7.
Two area girls’ teams will be featured in the quarterfinals of the Class 3A State Tournament on the south campus of North Arkansas College in Harrison. Bergman meets Mayflower at 1, and Valley Springs faces Centerpoint at 4.
